I was born and raised in the Berkshire hills of Massachusetts to my newspaper reporter mother and woodworker father. Attended U Mass and Clemson. Have worked a variety of jobs, but have always written articles and fiction on the side, with 300 articles and short stories published in magazines including Reader's Digest, The Saturday Evening Post, Harpers, Heartland USA, Grit, and AOPA Pilot. Taught creative writing at a community college, and edited a city magazine for ten years. I'm a licensed boat captain, a private pilot, a motorcycle rider, an ocean beach walker, and a voracious reader. I work part time for NC State University, running a 50 foot research trawler. I live by the broad Neuse River in New Bern, North Carolina, where I'm at work on my fourth novel.
I have three suspense novels published under traditional advance and royalty contracts with Medallion Press, titled GUNS, DIAMONDBACK, and KLLRS, praised by top NY Times best selling authors Lee Child, Ridley Pearson, and Stephen Coonts. The books are available in print or e-book form from Amazon and other sites.
I'm an active member of both International Thriller Writers and Mystery Writers of America.
