Over the last few years, I have adopted a quote that has helped me to survive and move forward in life..."What counts is not necessarily the size of the dog in the fight- it's the size of the fight in the dog." ~General Dwight D. Eisenhower
I am the single mother of two AMAZING children. I take great pride in my work with the wounded, ill, and injured solodiers of the United States Army. I have

Background
Information
|
|
I am an occupational therapist by education. I grew up in the south and the "southern belle" morals and values are how I have lived my life. My maternal grandmother, mother, and sister are my greatest influences in life as they were like "three peas in a pod"! I believe writing is a great mood enhancer, stress reliever, and a positive way to express emotions. Writing has healing powers allowing a person to "let go"! I continue to write to help channel my emotions as positively as I can.

I started a blog when I began work with the wounded, ill, and injured soldiers of the United States Army. I quickly found that my new life was not as simple as I had hoped and the blog is still in the developing stages. I did write a blog on my one year anniversary with the Army and it was very inspiring to me as I reflected back on the previous year. The blog was published on DivineCaroline.com and it was quite the highlight of my year when I had a reader comment on my blog. I have approxiamtely 60 unpublished pieces of poetry that tells of a new life as it unfolded with all the trials that came with it. I have a great desire to publish my work but my children have been a priority and my dreams have been on the "back burner"!

Momma Mends Warriors
My blog is about my experiences working with young men and women who have given up their memory, their security, their various limbs, their love...who they were before they stepped up, to allow us the life we live. It tells of the joy of just "one small step, just one smile".
