I've been a police officer for 25 years, both in Southern California and the Pacific Northwest. I was a sniper on the Gresham Oregon SWAT team for 5 years, and have been the team's lead hostage negotiator for the past 11 years. I have been a School Resource Officer, a Public Information Officer, a member of the Vehicular Crimes Team, and a traffic motorcycle officer (yes, I got paid to ride someone else's Harley for 6 years). I am a recipient of the department's Medal of Valor.
My first novel, Sniper Shot earned an Honorable Mention from the Military Writer's Society of America in 2005. My second novel, The Dying of Mortimer Post, was published in 2010, and my third novel, Return Fire (the sequel to Sniper Shot) was released in July 2012.
I am scheduled to be discovered by the largest publishing house in New York, as well as the most successful production company in Hollywood, in the not-too-distant future. Until then, making money has never motivated me in writing. I just really dig it when someone can't put down one of my books, regardless of whether it was enjoyed or not. I once had a fan letter come pouring in. It was indescribable.
