As an anthropologist, novelist and writer Gil Hardwick is a gifted author. Over many years working as a field ethnographer in the vast Australian inland he has met real characters and had real-life adventures, bringing his personalities and his plots to vibrant life. Writing from life, he neither shies away from real social issues and at times confronting dilemmas. Well worth reading.

Background Information

Formally, early career in mechanical, electrical, electronics trades before going into computing as a major hobby and extra income. Graduated with Honours in Anthropology from the University of Western Australia in 1989, majoring in Aboriginal Studies, followed by 3+ years with the Centre for Irish Studies, Murdoch University. Recently graduated again with Honours in Literature, UWA. Currently doing a Masters in Criminal Justice with thre Centre for Crime Research, UWA School of Law.

Informally, a lifetime knocking around the Australian bush, running into all sorts of interesting situations and even more interesting characters. Become an author after years of academic writing just sort of happened. My theses inevitably end up as fiction.
