Later, around 12 years old I built a telescope- photographed the heavens through it. I loved lenses, optics, taking pictures of anything and everything!  Even as a child I read, not just about astronomy, but many books by imaginative, visual writers, such as Jules Verne, Edgar Rice Burroughs, H.G.Wells, H.Rider Haggard. Other worlds, opened to me and I became enthralled by the magic, mystery, wonder. of the exotic as well as the other side of the failiar. It was as if a curtain billowed open. It beckoned me to go through, follow the light, journey beyond the horizon, over the edges of the known.

   I  graduated from college with a BA in English Literature, moved to California, got a Masters in Communications, became a screen and TV writer, then a documentary film maker. "Thinking" in visual images lead me down another road.  I  became a master commercial photographer, for decades had my studio, and worked for national and international clients, traveling much of the world.  My last name is Glaser, which means "maker of glass."  I believe I lived and continue to live the destiny of my name.  I've been writing and photographing since childhood-the world seemed very big and special to me then-it still does . Different cultures, people and distant places continue to lure me now, as they did as a child.
