I grew up in Northern Illinois. I have always had a passion for writing and reading.  I have a BA and MA in English and I am starting a new degree program for distance Learning this summer. 

I write across all genres as the mood takes me. At current I'm writing a fantasy/Sci-fi novel about dragons and a sequel to my historical fiction/romance novel Too Many Tears. I also have several short stories in the archives that range between horror and drama. Poetry has always been a great passion. I haven't attempted non-fiction or autobiography because it's hard for me to take reality seriously and keep a smile on my face. Melissa Crosson (author on AD) and I have started a war of words. Any poems with War of the Roses in the title are part of that. Since the death of my father in 2003, I have ventured into the fictionalized accounts of my father's life. Over time I will be posting short stories and poems that are based upon him and my family. To date two stories have been posted.
