I have always been an avid reader and daydreamer; therefore, it surprised no one that I gravitated toward the theatre arts in college. Beginning adulthood first as an actor and singer--with meager success--I eventually turned my attention to playwriting, both stage and screen. Over the course of forty years, I have written over fifty plays for stage, radio, TV, and film, published two novels and a novella, and am currently compiling a collection of short stories for publication. I teach Creative Writing workshops, and edit books and scripts for Commonwealth Books.
My greatest inspiration comes from my faith in God, and the support of my family, to whom I dedicate everything. Without them everything would be meaningless.
I believe everyone has a story; and I want to help as many as I can tell theirs. I founded a non-profit foundation in 1995 to help exhibit and distribute film, video, and books to encourage and help heal a wounded world. We are all here together: a family of man. That is why my stories are built on relationships. Regardless of the genres of mystery, thriller, adventure, supernatural, or science fiction, of which I predominantly write, there are always core relationships around which the plots revolve. I suppose you could define me as an action/romance writer. What can I say...I'm a hopeless romantic.
I currently live in the Houston area where I help my wife run a performing arts studio. We have two adult children, both working in the field of counseling.
