Author, entertainment attorney and advocate of nightlife culture

Background Information

Gamal Hennessy is an author, entertainment attorney and nightlife advocate in New York City. He began his professional career as in-house counsel for a Japanese animation company before becoming the International Publishing Manager for Marvel Entertainment. After leaving Marvel, Gamal began an online magazine about New York nightlife and published Seize the Night: The Business and Culture of New York Nightlife in 2010. He went on to found a nonprofit company called the Nightlife Cultural Initiative where he serves as President and Chief Executive.

Gamal's fictional work is a by-product of his childhood passion for writing and the creative education he received early in his professional career. The Sex, Lies and Spies series of short stories combines erotic fiction aroused by visionaries like Anais Nin and Josephine Hart and thrillers that take inspiration from masters including Barry Eisler, John Le Carre and Warren Ellis. Gamal is also planning to combine both these genres in 2013 with the release of a series of novellas called A Taste of Honey.
