What distinguishes human being from other living forms is the power of communication and the ablity to store knowledge and experiences in language...for the benefit of generations..thats how civilisations grew...poetry is , probably, the most seminal work of this civilised mind...dont we have the earliest recorded text in any language available to us in poetic form????....I write to see if I can communicate with myself as the 'other' and not always the self..Hope this answers the question...'why I write"..
