My background is in the theater, acting, directing and playwriting. I played Renfield in DRACULA at a relatively young age and that partially influenced my horror bent. My mother used to keep us up all night watching horror movies with her and sent us, bleary-eyed and caffine-laden, to the nuns every day. I also had a terrifying grandmother who would have inspired the saints to write horror!

BOUND IN BLOOD was a finalist for the Lambda Literary Award.
BOUND IN FLESH was nominated for both the Lambda Literary Award and the Gaylactic Spectrum Award, as was the novella, "The Secrets of the Fey"

Three of my short stories, "Da's Boy," "The White Room," and "The Great White Ape," are in the collection, LIKE A CHINESE TATTOO, from Dark Arts Books. The collection is to be launched at the World Horror Convention in Salt Lake City in March 2008.

Alternate Realities
Alternate Realities has an interview with me and will be adding a story about BOUND IN BLOOD, a review of BOUND IN FLESH and a live Q&A with me. The events will run through September 2006.
