Studied psychology and Social Work at Temple University, Rutgers University and Fielding Institute. Present or former member of American Orthopsychiatric Assn. (Fellow), Author's Guild, National Association of Social Workers, Marriage and Family Counselors Assn., American Association of Addictions Counselors. Carl elevated the human spirit to new highs through his practice and writing while Dr Bateson saw the world as an interaction of intersecting elements rather than a cycle of blame for everything that goes wrong. System theory assigns no blame or causality, just proximity and effect of elements meeting as a point in time and space. Combining the two philosophies creates a healing environment for the most hurt among us.
