Background Information

I have been writing for as long as I can remember, but it wasn't until a college professor pointed out that writers are a kind of witness to the world that I started collecting stories, narratives, and writing memoir. We are witnesses to our experience. Some of my major influences have been: Alice Walker, Janet Frame, Toni Morrison, Lillian Hellman.
