Award Winning poet, Rebecca Cuevas De Caissie, A.K.A. “Loves Assassin”, was born and raised in sultry South Florida. Her multi-cultural heritage and upbringing make this poet a true romantic at heart. Rebecca makes her home the pursuit of love, always by the ocean, in a community where dreamers have lazy days to spend weaving tapestries of fantasy. Since the young age of thirteen years old, Rebecca has been spinning gossamer webs of dreams and passion enjoyed internationally.  Rebecca's work is published in various Anthologies throughout the world and in individual collections of poetry such as the romantic Lamentations of The Caves, Echoes of the Caves (featuring a form of poetry created by Rebecca called Simpatia), and now Fire and Ice, is a dual collection: Darkness, a collection of dark romantic poetry coupled with the long awaited An Arcadian Love’s Song, an epic poem about raw heartbreak and the human condition of failed love, a quest for love in the land of the lost. Rebecca is renowned for her research articles on Hispanic Culture, currently used by many universities and media outlets. She also has research articles confronting Feminicide in Guatemala in the archives of the U.N. Currently Rebecca serves as the NB Chair for the Canadian Federation of Poets as well as the Youth Director, editor for the Poetry of Youth Anthology receiving the honors of Poet of the Month in August 2008, World Famous Poet Societies most Promising New Poet 2001, and as well Most Prolific New Poet 2002 and Most Original Poet 2003 from Poetry.com. A Philanthropist at heart, Rebecca is involved in many humanitarian campaigns involving ecology, humanitarian aid, education and the fight to preserve basic Human Rights. Her challenge to herself and family has been to lead by example and to make changes when the opportunity arises.
