Phillip E. Hardy is a writer and musician business consultant with a diverse range of abilities and interests. Hardy has recently played drums for several blues and rock artists including Joe Houston and Guitar Shorty and was an opening act for classic rock band Canned Heat. He has been playing drums and singing lead vocals for the Lively Ones (Pulp Fiction Soundtrack) since 2000. Recently, his primary musical project is playing drums for the Long Beach based band New Blues Revolution. in the fall of 2010, the band played at the LA Music Awards at the Paramount Theatre in Hollywood. Phillip E. Hardy is the author Kingdom of the Hollow, the Story of the Hatfields and McCoys. In a December 2006 review, Roundup magazine described the book as "an action-filled, fictionalized account of the feud, with a strong sense of place, rich descriptive narrative full of regional detail, and crisply drawn characters." He has finished a new revision of his historical fiction work about the feud, which is available at Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble. Recent kindle sales for this work have been in the thousands. He has just published his new book “Singing For My Supper, The Greatest Self Help Book Ever Written”. See California critic C. MacDonald says “The title will suck you in. In the first pages, Hardy's humor oozes like fresh syrup on a pancake.”
He is currently working on developing a televison series called Halloran House.
His articles and reviews have been published at Marshalltown Chronicle and Hackwriters.com. Hardy was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Business Management in 2001 and a Master of Management from the University of Redlands in 2003. He is a Stanford University Certified Project Manager. He is endorsed by Soultone Cymbals and uses both Ludwig and DW Pacific Drums.
My writing influences include Earnest Hemingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Charles Bukowski and John Steinbeck. I write because I find it is one of the best ways to convey my thoughts in a cohesive manner. Currently, I am most interested in writing articles that stimulate discussion and God forbid, make people laugh.
