Fatal Addiction What if at the time of death the human brain creates a chemical that puts us in a state of pure ecstasy as the spirit prepares to leave the body? What if terrorists learned to make this drug and sell it on our streets? Once tried, ordinary people would do anything to get it. It would place our society in a state of Fatal Addiction. This story is fiction-or is it? With over 30 y

Background Information

Book signings for Fatal Addiction
By Everett Beal

A shocker, the real world, what is happening while we are sleeping. What could happen to hundreds of thousands in America? Drugs are taking over this world. I am a pharmacist and I know what I am trying to tell America. Please heed my warning, I beg of you.

When I autograph FATAL ADDICTION, I write; my intentions are to open the eyes of America. For Addiction knows neither classes nor boundaries. It took me six months to arrive with this signature. I just don’t like to autograph and run. It must come from my heart. I woke up at 2AM to write down what finally came to me. What has made me feel like I haven’t wasted my time spending thirty months, eight to fifteen hours a day and screwing up a golf game is; when I have had book signings readers walk right up to me and say, “God bless you for writing this book.” I will share with you that at this moment I have received an honor from Jada Press which doesn’t come to an author very often. I was the author of the month which is quite an honor for an author to start right off with that blessing. Everett Beal Rph

If you think this didn’t hurt, after sacrificing three years of my life to write this book. Eight to fifteen hours a day was a piece of cake. Doing relief work in a couple of pharmacies and working in a detox center gave me all the exposure to those partaking substances to abuse and addict just looking for a good time.
I wrote Fatal Addiction to join in the fight against drug abuse and enjoyed sharing lectures at civic clubs and the signings. All my efforts were definitely not in vain for maybe eight or ten hours a day I wrote.

Book readers who were addicts broke their habits and let me know this book had saved their lives and brought their families together. I was told that at least six addicts who read my book said it actually saved their life.  There was several in prisons after reading this works who detoxed themselves. So many wonderful happenings transpired over maybe a couple of years during my forty-five book signings.
The Georgia Governor enjoyed placing Fatal Addiction in a prominent location of his mansion library. He wrote;

“By your gift, you’ve left a legacy to the State of Georgia.
     Please know that Mary and I are grateful for the numerous contributions you have made and continue to make to Georgia’s success.
     We appreciate you thinking of us, and we extend our best wishes to you for continued success. God Bless”
Sonny Perdue
This is only one of many honors for Fatal Addiction before IT HIT THE DIRT.
YEP! It has been taken from all book web sights all over the world. The Elks Clubs of Georgia had posters for promotion and made the books available
all over the state. They have brochures to pass out to everyone and were available at my book signings and at the Elks National Convention.

This is enough; I think you get my point. But, the reason for destroying this valuable tool for fighting drug abuse was not at all my fault. I could not believe that an email, I had written to be shared with my editor, was invaded through a piece of illegal software bringing on lines of harassment, which created my contract to be terminated and my book from being published.

I autographed hundreds of Fatal Addiction in a variety of locations.
This is what I call; Invasion of Privacy to stop my fight against Substance abuse.
My publisher made sure that it would be my expense to have a new cover and the guts of my book if I happen to have it republished. I was told to take all covers from posters and advertising on the internet.
I am very bitter. I said over and over that God don’t love ugly but it certainly is a hard dose to swallow.

Oh Yes, one of these days when the stock market gets back to normal I will have Fatal Addiction republished. I will be able to afford this book and I will also have my new book available, to walk hand in hand and fight drug abuse. The latest one I will dedicate to;
They will be the ones to combat the junkies and pushers and be aware that addiction plus abuse precipitates poverty, like they are all told in grade school, SAY NO TO DRUGS.
I shall return, and by damn, I will again be fighting drug abuse to open the eyes of America.

Eight years of college, two degrees.
Owned two pharmacies and a Merry Christmas Shop in the Georgia Blue Ridge Mountains.

Retired I thought to write my first book "Southern Winds" and that was all I had planned to write. But it doesn't work that way. Once you get the bug, there is no stopping. Like getting a case of the unmentionable word we golfers call the YIPS, I did learn the meaning of the words authors call Writers Block. That isn't contagious but it can happen lasting for minutes to days.

Since *Southern Winds* I began two books and completed a sequel.
I even had an agent but realized the value of writing *Fatal Addiction* ASAP. I had the knowledge and experience that I wanted to
share before it was too late so I politely tossed the sequel on the stack for another day.No one knows for sure but what I have written could really take place.

Being an outdoor writer for the past 25 years and a past president of the Georgia Outdoor Writers Association, I had over five hundred articles published. However, books have taken over my writing time.
*Fatal Addiction* took thirty months of my life many times spending ten or fifteen hours a day. With my latest composition, I sincerely feel
that I have created a future best seller. Fiction partially based on true happenings. *Fatal Addiction* is available on all book web
outlets. It can be ordered at most any good book stores. I thank you so much for your time and hope you tell others about *Fatal Addiction* before it really is too late.

Additional Information

I realized the need to create book and art festivals to provide another area for deserving authors and artists to have many times their only chance to display their talents. I saw lots of happy faces that had been successful for beginning a new page of their lives.It is such a pleasure to discover new talent and share a taste of culture with communities.When we had our Christmas shop in Dillard, Georgia the purpose was to provide deserving mountain folk a location to show off their crafts and talents.What's wonderful, we will be returning to that area. Strange but my life has changed, I have returned to Griffin,Georgia to live in a condo.Folks tease us and say, "Uh Huh,they have no ties, so any day it could happen .Are they really getting the roaming fever again?" Who knows, it just happens. Thirty months was over and I have completed one last proofing of my latest book Fatal Addiction. I keep hearing it will one day become a movie.I always reply," When you see me on the Today Show you will know it will be on the screen."Well,I have realized it is a hit and miss deal for the author.The title is a good beginning.Place your orders in the book stores and they will order any time. It is available now. Thanks for the visit, have a nice day and please keep reading our books.They don't come easy. *Southern Winds*, *Fatal Addiction*. Thanks so much, Everett Beal Rph I had so many book signings and it was a pleasure to help these desperate visitors who needed help. At one time I had 12 people gathered around my table while I lectured on Fatal Addiction and what was in it. I had addicts,recovering addicts,mothers with their children where their daddy had overdosed leaving all behind for mother to run the family and grandparents taking charge of their grand children while their children were in prison. One last piece of wood on the fire, When I returned I sat down at my "puter" to catch up.I heard from a producer who is very interested in turning Fatal Addiction into a screen play or a movie.You think that didn't grab me? Who knows, it could happen.) Everett BealRph.
