My greatest influence in a word is, "Malevolence". Included in this umbrella adjective are; cruelty, greed, prejudice, hostility, hubris, hatred, social injustice, caste systems, violence, war, conditional values, religious superiority, turgid egos and failure to act in the face of any of the above.
Sounds naive? Probably so, given the extent of inhumanity in the world. Nevertheless, in the words of the immortal Popeye, "I yam, what I yam!".
I have hunkered down in the trenches of life since the first time I saw my mother cry. It was November of 1963. I asked her, "Why are you crying?" She said, "They killed the President."
I thought, if they can kill the President, they can kill me!

delusions of grandeur, dreamed delusions of simplicity!
