A passion for the writings of Thomas Hardy prompted me and my husband to move, nine years ago, to Dorset where we have settled happily. My first novel, Weatherbury Farm, is a sequel to Thomas Hardy’s Far From the Madding Crowd, and was first published in 1999. A Claim to Kin, is my second book and another of the Wessex Chronicles. My 3rd novel, published by Writers Club Press 2001, is a sequel to Hardy's Tess of the d'Urbervilles called The d'Urberville Inheritance. Have now moved to Buckinghamshire.

During my career as a college nurse I studied part-time with the Open University where I gained an honours degree in English Social History and Literature. I also studied several very interesting writing courses and have a certificate in short story writing.
