Edward O’Toole was born in the English city of Chester and grew up in Wales, Yorkshire, Oxfordshire and Lincolnshire. He studied at Isaac Newton’s old school, the King’s School, Grantham.
He has travelled, and lived, in many different countries, including Israel and Switzerland, but has called Slovakia “home” for the last 14 years. He lives with his wife and three children in Svidnik.
Edward’s main interests are writing, art, traditional living skills, and the unknown. He splits his time between living in the modern world and in a remote, Eastern Slovakian village where he tries to live using traditional and primitive survival skills. Out there in the bush, he is surrounded by the history and legends of the Carpathians, as well as the many beasts which roam the forests.
