I am an Attorney and Mediator who has written How To Mediate Like A Pro: 42 Rules for Mediating Disputes, which has won ten book awards. Previously I wrote How To Negotiate Like A Pro:41 Rules for Resolving Disputes which has won six book awards.

I have been an Attorney, Mediator, Human Resources Director, Law School Professor, Arbitrator, and Union Negotiator. I have always dealt with conflict and dispute resolution.
When I was Chief Union Negotiator, I started writing down the rules for the cases that got resolved. I came up with 41 Rules.
I knew that I would write a sequel based on my Mediation experience. I have mediated over 7000 cases and found that certain Rules applied to the cases that got resolved through mediation, too.
