Poet, Writer, Computer Programmer.

Background Information

A computer programmer by profession, LonelyPoet started a new phase in his poetry writing after coming to United States in 1998 from India. In a new lifestyle and culture, the poet took relationships as his writing subject. In his book ‘Age Of Survival’ a collection of poems written between 1998 and 2006, taking experience from his own life and life he had seen and heard after traveling to almost every corner of United States. The poems are arranged in three different categories. “Surprises,” “Perceptions,” and “Thoughts to a Woman’s Heart” covering everything from heartfelt sadness to happiness, frustrations to sarcasms in relationships. These poems try to gather all the feelings in romantic relationships in human life, the presence of love as well as the lack of love and the way love affects every aspect of human life. Born and brought up in a small south Indian town in India, Riaz Ahammed pen named LonelyPoet told stories gathering his friends even when he was in primary school. Later in life after his graduation, Riaz started writing short poems in English. In 1998 an American company hired Riaz from India and brought him to the United States. In the new lifestyle and free culture, Riaz flourished as a poet.
