Background
Information

|
I taught mechanical engineering for 31 years at NC A&T State University before retiring to Lake Lure. The natural beauty of the Hickory Nut Gorge/Lake Lure area in western North Carolina has inspired me to write a series of children's books, The Lake Lure Chronicles, that are based on the area . I am currently (late 2006) at work on the third book in the series. The first two books, read-to adventure stories for children four and up, have been very warmly received by people familiar with the area, including residents and visitors alike. Although based on a specific region, the stories are of universal appeal.
