Background Information

A native of Refugio, Texas, Carol Riley Cain makes her home in Beeville, Texas, where she lives with her husband, Randy. A high school English teacher, Carol strives daily to share her love of the written word with her students.

Her first book, Ghosts, Spooks, and Spirits of South Texas is a collection of short stories inspired by true encounters of the paranormal kind, as reported to her by residents of South Texas.

Her second book, Spooky Stories from the Lone Star State, is also inspired by true paranormal encounters. It has no less than three stories of the author's own adventures as a paranormal investigator. It is also available here on Author's Den.

Carol is now working on a third ghost story book, as well as a novel tentatively titled, The Perfect House.
