I have read for as long as I can remember. The earliest memories are of Odysseus and Wells, Verne and other early science fiction authors. Beyond teenage years, greater influences came on me from tales of dreaming, of the otherworld, of fantasy and what might be. The world can be bleak and cold, it can show vistas so wide and far we cannot grasp, it can be burning with heat, it can show us the beauty of the tinest things at our feet.
