Aloha! Let me tell you a bit about myself:
I'm a Christian, widow, adventurer, and author of eighteen published books. (Sadly, untold other manuscripts never made it past the publishers' gatekeepers.) Many of my successful stories are now out of print.
Newly published and available are, "What the Witch Doctor Taught Me," about my experience of shining my little Jesus light into the dark tribes of Northern Thailand, and "The Dragon Who Stole the Holidays," a short chapter book about a dragon and pirates, an e-book for kids 7-12 years old. My just-finished manuscript, Mingling with Muslims, which relates experiences in Bangladesh, should appear sometime in 2014.
Many countries around the world have been my home, with Thailand and Bangladesh my most recent long-term residences. I've been a classroom teacher, an ESL tutor, a real estate agent, Director of Christian Education in a Manassas, Virginia, church, and wife of a CIA intelligence officer. Our four kids are all grown and flown, and I have more grandchildren and great-grandchildren than I can keep track of.
Through the years, dozens of my articles and stories have appeared in magazines and newspapers. Now, I speak to book clubs and other groups, teach writing workshops, and train teams to go on short-term missions. I lead a writers group at Palama Settlement in Honolulu, Hawaii, and you're welcome to come third Sunday of each month, 12:15 to 2:30-ish.
You can reach me through Authors Den or Facebook. Thanks again for dropping by.
