Raised in the Ozarks of Missouri, on a small farm five miles from a small town, I led a happy and sheltered life. Reading became an early passion for me, a bit of writing on the side, and in college I studied both creative and technical writing for an easy A. Shortly after college I pursued an interest in law enforcement, actually forcing my way into the Missouri State Highway Patrol Academy in hopes of becoming a state trooper. I survived the first month of training, shouting, hazing, and punishment only to decide that I'd rather be a family man with a family job. Not to mention that I freaked out at the first aid part. I was ready to take a bullet but I wasn't ready to give first aid to the wounded, go figure. Currently I work in a cubicle with a decent job that comfortably supports my family. My only wish that my writing would support my family, and that I had the success to do so full-time. When I can I dedicate a few hours to a novel that has been snowballing in my mind for years, entertaining side stories and short stories on the side. Now I have happened upon this site, and perhaps I can post a few small works for feedback and motivation. Thank you all!
