Before any big climb,take the time to rest first.

Background Information

I recently retired from the fire service after 28 years at Covington Ky, Fire Dept.retired in 2005, at the rank of Captain.Most of my time was spent as a line officer and company officer.(that means I fought fires)

I was born and raised in Ky. My childhood was spent on the south bank of the Ohio river,Bellevue Ky.

I truly believe, every day is a gift,and there is always something new to experience or learn. I am also blessed with two childern,now adults.A daughter and a son,and recently a grandson.

My hope is that maybe something I write will connect with a few readers,if so good,if not oh well maybe next time.

Accomplishments

5-1/2 years N.E.D from Melanoma Cancer 2001-to present(hopefully)
Completed 1st section of A.T. Trail from Springer
Mt.Georgia to Davenport N.C.Smoky Mts. 265 Mt. -miles 4-27-06.which was my intented goal.
