Hi, I'm Betty (Bethie). I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, the second oldest of seven children. Now I live and write in the beautiful state of Texas with J.C. my husband of fifty years. We have four sons. One married son with twin girls, and one son with a son and daughter, and two single sons.

Besides writing poetry of all styles, I love writing nonfiction short stories. When writing, I draw upon my life experiences. I was once co-owner of a small business, a church/pastor secretary for twenty years, recording secretary in PTA organizations, and taught Sunday School.

Since its release in August of 2006, I have been promoting my books, Whispers of the Heart and Embracing Life’s Melody in local book fairs, as well as other personal appearances. A third book of poetry and prose is awaiting publication. Some of my poetry has been published in the Texas Country Sunday Magazine.

Published author, member of International Society of Poets, published in several anthologies, Who's Who in Poetry, Poetry published in newspapers.
