Marian Hubbard Jefferson, MA is an adult survivor of child sexual assault. She has many years of experience working in the field of Human Service as both an activist and advocate for those who have been wounded by the life altering experience of sexual assault. She is the Chair of Lift Every Voice Family and Community Development Project, a Dallas County based nonprofit formed to aid survivors in speaking out about their experiences in an effort to educate the public and bring an end to sexual assault.
Marian was born into a home of domestic violence and drug addicted parents. She attended Arts Magnet Highschool at Booker T. Washington in Dallas where her talents in music and art gave birth to what would later become a desire for expression in the spoken word form of poetry.
Marian is an accomplished public speaker, prolific writer, classical and jazz performer who loves life and liberty; all found in a relationship with Christ Jesus.
