Lonna lived and studied in England (oh, Shakespeare!) for awhile and loves the mountains and the Bible. She also enjoys mountain hiking with her husband and kids and watching them ski the mountains of the South Island of New Zealand--and feeding the Kea, the only Alpine parrot in the world (Lonna has a Senegal parrot named Penny--who loves her)

Master's degree in English from San Diego State University, member of honor societies, essay published in anthology "Our Mothers, Ourselves," poems published in literary journals in America and England, 4 published books: "Like a Tree Planted," (science fiction), "Crossing the Chemo Room" (nonfiction cancer survival story), "I Saw You in the Moon," (its sequel), and the first of a fantasy trilogy, "Selah of the Summit."

I love taking landscape photos and showing electronic slideshows. I enjoy traveling around the world and giving my books away or raising money for the local Cancer Society. Besdies my published books, I have several other works posted on my website--children's stories, young adult romance, etc. I work for my local newspaper, the "Mountain News" and have also posted my Favorite Articles & Interviews (with photos).
