Ms. Willett has written and illustrated a magical fantasy fiction piece called, Amber Shadows and the Missing Wands. In 2008 this magical read won Book of the Year through Spinetingler's in Ireland, and in 2009, it won BOTY in the YA genre through authorsandbooks.net. Ms. Willett is writing the second book in the Amber Shadows series, and has also taken to screenplay editing/writing/adaptation.

Background Information

After adapting her first book into a screenplay, Ms. Willett has begun working on other projects: writing/revising the second book in the Amber Shadows series, Amber Shadows and the Crystal Locket; painting a portrait of the three main characters she sketched in the Amber Shadows series, and doing script submissionsShe also has three scripts in the works, Memoirs of Magia, an untitled romance/drama, and Anna Almighty. Even with all these projects, she has been trying to put more work into the bare bones of a play she started writing several years ago called Murder at Tea Time.

Those who have read my work will see my writing and editing abilities are proven through my Amber Shadows book series, and again in the screenplay Tatalia. I plan on continuing script editing for movies and writing scripts in between writing each book in my book series.

I am now back to revising my second book in the series, Amber Shadows and the Crystal Locket of Lost Time, working on the adaption for Magia memoirs and writing the bare bones for the second film I'm going to write. I've also been working on and off on a comedy play I hope to submit in the near future called, Murder at Tea Time.

Amber Shadows and the Missing Wands  is only available online.  Go to Amazon.com or any favorite online store for your copy today. The casebound makes a lovely birthday gift or Christmas gift for that someone special.

Additional Information

In January of 2007 she contracted Outskirts Press to self-publish her fantasy fiction for mid-grade to young adult genre called, Amber Shadows and the Missing Wands. Ms. Willett had also done the illustrations at the beginning of each chapter. "I am in the process of re-writing/completing two additional books in the Amber Shadows series, and hope to work on the fourth within the next two years. I chose self-publishing after experiencing a year of incompetant literary agency representation, and after I received 20 rejections based on my own literary agent efforts. The rejections I received were mostly good . . . some stopped carrying the genre, some loved my work but did not publish my genre. The last few were form letters. As of today, I still have three publishers I have not heard back from, but my book has changed so much since I sent out the custom submission packages, that it doesn't matter. In January of 2007 I made the decision to self-publish through Outskirts Press. I had, had enough of the publishers-close-out-new-authors-game. The first book took me over 3 1/2 years to write after all the revisions and polishing I did. I had written and completed the second and third books as well, however, the first book had changed so much that I am now modifying the second book called, Amber Shadows and the Crystal Locket, and will do so with the third book called, Amber Shadows and the Dream Feather. The fourth book, Amber Shadows and the Seven Faerie Coins is half-done in first draft, but will have to wait until the other two are done. I have recently completed editing a screenplay called Tatalia. Upon finishing this project I have written the screen adaptation for Amber Shadows and the Missing Wands and have a few other script writing projects I would plan on completing." The best way to contact Ms. Willett is through her Shadows Fan Club as she keeps in contact with the club every week. She is also on Twitter and Facebook. Ms. Willett's birthday: October 29, 1969
