Some of my biggest influences are from the U.S. such as leonard cohen, William Boroughs, Sage Francis (rapper), Rives (Poet, seen on HBO Defjam). In the UK we have a hugely diverse underground hip hop scene with an increasing number of rap artists making it into the charts. Mike skinner 'The Streets', Dizzy rascal, and Lady Sovereign. On the flipside there are artists such as The Foriegn Beggars who are in my oppinion producing some of the most incitefull, poetic hip hop in the UK, but they but stay very well shaded from the limelight. My style is performance based poetry, some of my poetry is rithm based and others are free-verse. Some adapt themselves well to the written page, and others don't. I love a well delivered line, and adore tantalizing tongue twisters. I hope you like my approach. .
