I'm happy to speak in public, but don't expect me to look like this.

David Hough was born in Cornwall and grew up in the Georgian City of Bath. He worked as an air traffic controller in Northern Ireland, Scotland and England before retiring early and dedicating his life to writing. His love of books goes right back to his school days and has never waned over the years. In particular, he has a keen interest in historical novels.
He now lives with his wife in Dorset, on the south coast of England. They have three offspring - who don’t like to be called children because they are all in their thirties. His daughter is also an air traffic controller, while his two sons help him with his writing. His younger son keeps his computer in working order, while his elder son is an historian and a valuable source of reference.
David is a keen walker and enjoys exploring the Dorset countryside with friends. In addition, he and his wife give some of their free time to teaching disabled people how to get enjoyment from canoeing.
