I am a retired school teacher whose specialties were English and History. I now write historical novels based on French Canadian history.

Background Information

History, particularly French Canadian history, has been my passion for many years. Genealogy is also one of my many hobbies. Putting my two main interests together has resulted in a number of novels.

Birth Place
Henribourg, Saskatchewan,  Canada
Accomplishments

I have a BA in history and BEd in English. I taught at the secondary level for many years. Since my retirement, I have written many historical novels, as well as some other writings.

Additional Information

Three of my young adult historical novels have been published; they are The Isle of Demons, The Godmother, and Little Snowbird; six of the series, Marin Chronicles and three of the Alberta series. The Marin Family Chronicles is the story of the family who first arrive in Acadie, New France in 1670 where Pierre and Francoise establish their home as France and England vie for supremacy on the north American continent. These are available online at Barnes and Noble, Amazon.com, and other bookstores. My most recent historical novel is The Venturers, the story of Pierre and Francoise Marin, a newly married young couple who come to Port Royal, Acadia, New France in 1670 to make a home for themselves and their progeny.
