major influences - Peter McWilliams. the 1950's & 1960's. rock & roll, country (not western), blues and pretty much every stupid thing i ever did in my life.

my major achievement to date is that i'm still alive and kickin'. choices & voices have all too often left that achievement up in the air.

figured it was time to change my "bio". what's past is past. today i live in today. i write for me, pretty much whatever comes into my head. my philosophy on poetry is simple - " poetry is written to be read, not graded ". the words in a poem are a personal thing to the writer. they express a moment, a feeling, an emotion - a certain intangible that is given life in the poets words. i hope you like my words, if so, please read me to your hearts content. if not, there are others who express life in different ways. in either case, enjoy the read. enjoy the moments, the feeling and the emotions. that's what life is all about. - steve
