Gael Greene has been New York Magazine's Restaurant critic since 1968. She resigned as the weekly critic in 2001 but continues to write a weely restaurant column called Insatiable Critic. She is the author of two best selling novels: Blue Skies, No Candy and Doctor Love as well as the author of five other books, the most recent, Insatiable: Tales from a Life of Delicious Excess. She has written for Cosmopolitan, Ladies Home Journal, McCalls and Playboy. Currently she writes for Travel & Leisure, Food and Wine, Departures, Food Arts, and Diversions. Twentyfive years ago she cofounded Citymeals-on-Wheels with James Beard to help deliver meals to New York City's homebound elderly.
