I'm a fairly outspoken woman who dislikes labels, unless they are self imposed. I write passion poetry and fiction from the heart.

I went to the Algonquin school of Fine Arts in Ottawa. My father is a history buff so that is reflected in my work. I've always written poetry but never really got around to writing stories until just recently. My new novel Inferno was published in 2003.

Jeff Seffinga asked me to judge a prestigious Canadian literary award, The Acorn-Plantos Award, for the 2004 best book of poetry. Reading 30 books of poetry in 6 weeks was daunting but it was also a labour of love. I look forward to judging other awards.
