I was born in Hungary in 1941 where my community was known to most Hungarians as Gypsy. In Hungary, discriminated against as a miority I was disheartened. Dissapointed by the Communist sytem's faliure to integrate the people of my community in to the Hungarian society, at age twenty-six I decided to escape from Hungary and the Communist sytem and to seek Freedom and Equality in America.

At the University of Norh Carolina in Chapel Hill I earned my degree in Linguistics.

After 23 years of workin as a Library Clerk in the Rare Books Collection of University Library in Wilson Library, I retired and by February of 2007 my memoir was published by Xlibris publisher of Philadelphia.
