I am a former nightclub bouncer, bodyguard and trainer of bodyguards but now prefer to write about the industry than working in it! I lived in Moscow for quite a while and as well as writing about true crime I also enjoy writing about this unique and interesting country and have had a number of different articles about Russia published in many mainstream magazines.

Writing and getting published my first book has to be my most major literary achievement to date, but also writing the biography of a Russian street beggar was extremely interesting -we all have such different lives.

I am also working on a photographic portfolio of doormen and nightclub bouncers and will be exhibiting some of these images shortly.
