“My life has no purpose, no direction, no meaning, and yet I’m happy.
I can’t figure it out. What am I doing right?” – Charles M. Schulz

Writing essays in college kept my grades out of the dumps. Took that as an omen. Soon developed a fondness for the written word. A blessing and a curse, I’m one of those writers who feel compelled to scribble down bits and pieces at all hours, whether in the bathroom, or on the freeway. Keep it all in a box until it rises up like a mummy from the grave and demands I give it life as a book. Major influences include Lawrence Durrell (especially Justine from his Alexandria Quartet). Enthralled with the way he laces the powerful imagery of poetry into his prose. Other favorites include Allen Ginsberg, Tennessee Williams, and Albert Camus. Secret Ambition: to have found breakthrough success as a screenwriter. Yeah, me and a million others. In the meantime, I’m keeping my day job… and still writing my love letters to the universe.
