Background
Information
I began writing after taking a "Creative Writing" course in the 90's. I settled on poetry because I thought I could develop a knack for it, and it took less time. I've been influenced by all my teachers...Tina Daub, Eamon Grennon, Reuben Jackson, Rose Solari..... I have a doctorate in social psychology and have taken on the task to provide imagery which reflects an emotional state. Although much of my earlier work is confessional and autobiographical, my later work is imagistic, about nature. I have chosen to write after the style of Pablo Neruda, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Marianne Moore and Emily Dickenson at various times, but prefer to use my own voice for the most part. I have written a great deal in form since 2008.
