10 years ago when 2 children were left at my door I never imagined my life would change as it did. the 2 boys ages 15 months and 2 weeks old were children of a 17 year old girl I had taken in a couple of months earlier. Her choice to abandon the boys came after the youngest one was born with brain damage due to various measures she took to hurt herself during pregnancy. I of course adopted the boys. at the time I was a single mother of a 4 months old. it was like having triplets. it was tough. I ended up having to quit my job to care for my son with disabilities, and thus began my writing career. Although I never thought of publishing a book. I began to write numerous articles to get my story out and get help.

I found the TYME (teach youth Motivate & Empower, www.itsmytyme.com ) to help the biological mother of my boys, and began a campaign of reaching out to provide services to other young women who were in her shoes.
I later adopted 2 older girls who were severely sexually abused which is what sparked me to have this book published.

In December 2006 i will release Jaire can do anything. A childrens book for children with disabilities.

Although THE HOUSE WITH DIRT WALLS is a fictional story, the acts and feelings of guilt and self loathing are all to real to many who have been sexually abused. I used the story with the young women I counseled as a way for them to discuss it and their own experiences. They encouraged me to put it in print with the hopes that it might encourage someone else.

I have also written several screen plays and tv sitcoms which I hope to have produced one day. I am also a songwriter.
