Chuck Van Soye is a retired Du Pont sales/marketing manager who has for most of his adult life had an inclination towards the written word. Although educated as a chemical engineer at Cornell University, he enjoyed a diverse career that included three years writing and editing on the staff of McGraw-Hill's Chemical Engineering magazine. When Du Pont needed a skilled writer with an engineering background to start up and publish the monthly Journal of Teflon™, Chuck left McGraw-Hill to accept that role, and the Journal soon became nationally recognized, with a readership of corporate executives, managers, scientists and engineers numbering close to 100,000.
Following a subsequent stint in a Du Pont advertising slot, and several years of freelance writing, he moved into the exciting world of industrial raw material sales, where his writing skills in support of several multimillion-dollar customer accounts served him well.
In the course of his multiple careers, this writer has thus authored dozens of published business and technical articles. However, he's only written one book . . ..
Chuck, who is now 76, shares his life with his wife of 49 years, two sons and two grandchildren. He lives in Key West, FL during the winter months, and on San Juan Island, WA in the summer.
