The author’s background, as versified as she is; having lived in the North and the South equally. Graduating in 1972 as a Commercial artist, working for a newspaper, then as an Adult Educator; retiring after moving to the Houston, Texas area, to begin a new career as a Poet and Illustrator.

Background Information

I am currently studying as well as actively writing; what began as a retirement hobby has flourished into a full time job. I still sketch in ink and paint; several large pieces are on loan...for a charity benefit. In my spare time I edit and revise; currently experimenting with the various forms of the Sonnet; my book should be available soon.

Accomplishments

Completed studies in Alternative Therapies.
Completed studies in Literature.
Poet Laureate Diploma.
Included in several anthologies.
Once chosen as the best of the best for a poetry magazine. (Poem: England)

Additional Information

Currently writing a book for the student on how to write poetry in its many forms, with examples. I am in the process of writing a book of my various Sonnets, and one on my Zen poems.
