I grew up in rural Illinois, smack in the middle of a corn field. I attended several different schools and always found that English and Geography were my best subjects. The stories I write are a reflection of my passion for world cultures, adventure, and 'real' characters. Once I get a character in my head, I have to get their story on paper. Otherwise it's like bending a hose - all that running water has to do something! Mostly I write to achieve clarity in my own life. Writing out situations helps me understand them better.
