I've always imagined myself a writer, I've just finally decided to persue it. I write poetry and social commentary under the pen names Blackbird's Daughter and Neccessary Brown, respectively. I am currently writing a novel and hope to have it published.

Background Information

I have always loved writing. Without sounding trite or cliched there's not much I can say to explain it. It's a part of me. Something I do every morning when I first get up and at night until I fall asleep. There is only one person that I can say has influenced me as a writer. Nikki Giovanni has always been the one that I just understood. I have a love for her craft.
