It is hard to say how I got into writing - I blame it on my first-grade teacher who assigned us a "book" to write as a class project. Ever since then, I've been the one who used to hide the black and white composition notebooks underneath my looseleaf book - I paid more attention to my fiction than I did American History. I also have to add that life itself has been a great motivator; for I chose to spend a large portion of mine in isolation, where my thoughts, ideas and imaginations would convey themselves onto paper, and eventually my computer. It is safe to say that I have been expressing myself through the written word for the majority of my life. 

Well, I'm still working on that, as far as my work is concerned. Most of my recognition has been school-related but a goal of mine is to be able to share my best writing with the world someday. For now, I'll say my biggest personal achievement is my family - my beautiful girlfriend and my children.

I am currently working on a novel which classifies as contemporary fiction. Also working on edits for a four (perhaps more later) book series - also fiction. I have also done short fiction and non-fiction pieces, as well as the rare poem here and there.
