As a senior in high school a friend of mine gave me a copy of The Hobbit and insisted I give it a try. Books have been a major part of my life ever since and at some point I realized I had stories to tell, myself. My favorite author is Dean Koontz, but I try to read many different authors, during which time Koontz will have written 5 or 6 more books, so I get behind. I also love the fantasy genre. It is hard for me to pinpoint one particular favorite author in fantasy, but some of my favorites are Robert Jordan, Terry Goodkind, Raymond Feist, Tad Williams, and Margarite Weis and Tracy Hickman. You may have heard of a few of them. I have made it a game to see how many different series I can be reading at the same time while waiting for the next book of the other series to come out. Then from time to time I will read something history related, such as a biography about Abraham Lincoln, my favorite president.
