I'm a recovering English Major with a masters degree from SIUE. I'm also a recovering Art Major with a BFA from CCA(C). Degrees provide a foundational structure, but it is the sub-stratum of our inner substance that we must go to in order to write something useful for our readers.

I love spending time with my nonagenarian father, Erwin A. Thompson, who still lives on the home place in St. Louis and writes more than any three of us put together. We do public appearances, readings, and workshops together.
