I have been a prolific reader since I was a very young child when I learned to my amazement, that the alphabet could form words. I was off and running! At nine years old, I boarded the book mobile that came to my 2 room school and did not get off until I was thirteen. I took that rolling library like the grasshoppers took Kansas, devouring everything in sight. I read all of the childrens classics: Dickens, Dumas, Hugo, Mark Twain etc. At 10 years old I was reading A Tale Of Two Cities.....I am a story teller: had I lived in another time, I would have been a jonguleur. I have been encouraged along the way by teachers, family, and friends. I became the director for a little theater group and also wrote two musicals, several one act plays and numerous skits in my four years with the group. I have raised five children and two foster children and now I am finally getting to write my books. At my very first signing of Sweet Annie, I sold 83 books at my local Borders Bookstore and I have been on this rollercoaster ever since and it has been quite a ride. I still have much to do and I am so thankful for Microsoft Word because I doubt I could have accomplished much on a typewriter so in essence, I was waiting to launch my career until the invention of the pc.
