Hi, I'm a former English teacher, and enjoyed teaching and playing with the English language. I was fortunate to teach literature, English composition, writing, and poetry which I dabble with, but because of my former students, I decided to put my pen to paper and challenge myself to write a novel. I did so because I felt many of my students needed someone to care for them. They were suffering from their parents' divorce and one parent living far away who they could not visit. What could be better than a caring nanny? But the character that could inspire me, had to be kind, and be there to listen to children, so "Matilda" entered my life. She is inspirational. This is the first book in the series and is followed by two more about her, the children she cares for, her adventures to Miami, Florida, and London. Hence, Matilda with her big brown eyes which are full of wamth, and her lovely long, thick black hair styled in a ponytail arrives in Twinsburg, Ohio. The question is: how will she help these children who are in deep sorrow over the sudden death of their mother? Joey is six and Jennie four and their father, Richard, who runs a computer company does not know what to say to them or handle the loss of his wife Sarah. Will Matilda help? "Matilda" is a delighful read for teens to grandparents and has been followed by "At the Skylight with Matilda" and the newest, just out, "Matilda's Way." Have fun. You are sure to be impresssed by this young, adventurous nanny.
